Our farm
My flower farming journey began at 16 during my first year of agricultural college. With most of our family farm rented out for dairy, I would spend the breaks trying to find a way to use the land for ourselves. One day I came across an article about tulip farming in Holland, and the idea stuck; That same year I planted 1,750 tulips.
In April 2018, those tulips bloomed, so my morning routine transformed into early tulip picking before the college bus at 7am. I still remember the moment my mum told me I’d sold my first five bunches, I was in school and I thought I’d struck gold... Little did I know!
From there, my curiosity grew, and so did my love for flowers and nature. It’s been nearly eight years since I planted that half-acre of tulips, and the farm has grown to 3.5 acres, now counting with a foliage field.
Along the way, The Business of Flowers scholarship and the mentorship from Carol Siddorn and Sarah Statham have been invaluable, helping me grow both as a farmer and business owner.Thank you all for following and supporting this journey—it means the world to me!
